Living in Ottawa, I am naturally a Sens fan...but more importantly I'm a fan of good hockey, whichever team is playing it.

The Anaheim Ducks are destroying the Ottawa Senators.

The Sens won't win game 5 without a good deal of luck, and a complete hockey philosophy shift on the players bench.

In Ottawa here, we were applauding the Sens playoff run, although a lot of us had concerns about some of the players and the team mentality...this series has exposed the Sens flaws.

Ottawa has always fared poorly against really good dump and chase/trap teams. Only this year did our new coach Bryan Murray try and get everyone to play that playoff style hockey dump and chase/trap physical game...and defend well against it.

The sad fact is that our players just aren't comfortable enough with it yet...I really feel they will learn a hard lesson from this series and come out very strong next year...look out for the Ottawa Senators in 2007-2008...

As for the Ducks...their Cup is due after their heartbreaking loss to the Devils a few years back... No matter what happens, I think the Ducks impressed everybody this year...way to go!

sens win game 5

the game goes scoreless for the first half of them game until Heatly scores on the powerplay in the middle of the second. But right b4 the intermission, Getzlaf answers with an amazing shot. In the third a big scramble puts Anaheim on the powerplay, where they score right away. Alffy answers back with an amazing 1-on-1 move against Pronger. Out of frustration from having a poor game, Pronger cheapshots Chris Neil after a hit he made on Nidermayer. On Pronger's penalty, McAmmond gets his revenge by putting in the game winner.

Sens win 3-2

if ottawa wins game 5, they will win by 2. which includes an empty netter.
they will win by scoring on the power play, and quick shots from the point, quick passes from the slot, and the odd rebound.

Nope. Sorry. Ott 2, Ana 5. There is an empty net goal at the end (maybe 2, can't quite tell). :-)
