Why does smoke seem to follow me?

Whether i'm BBQing or smoking etc.,smoke seems to follow me.
If I move the smoke will move with me.

The smoke moves with you because you cause air currents to move in your direction when you move. Think about a paper fan, when you fan your self, you feel the air push past your face. It is because you have cause the air to move in a desirable direction. Well, when you move you also cause air current to change, in this case in an undesirable direction. In most cases if you stand still the smoke will eventually change direction and get out of your face.

I have no idea but I have the same problem. My boyfriend smokes and I can't stand it. He has tried very hard to be respectful however it seems that no matter what the smoke wants to drift my way, even when he goes out of his way to keep it from me. I hate it!

Well smoke does follow body heat even when it changes directions... Now if you are in a air condition home and smoke is following you then I am forces to say that you have a supernatural visitor on your heals.. Then you will have something that is worth looking into.................................................................
