This is to me disturbing. This is their reasoning. They do not want to insult or discriminate against Muslims who do not believe the Holocaust ever happened. Do you agree or disagree with their reasoning and why.

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Don't teach kids something that's true just because some choose to stick their head in the sand and pretend that it never happened. They shouldn't bend over backwards, to the extent of changing what is taught in history to make it less accurate, just because some Muslims don't like hearing about it.

Some libs would say this is the same type of situation as schools in America removing evolution because Christians don't like it. That is an unfair comparison because about 45% of scientists don't believe in evolution. There are different ways of examining the evidence and different conclusions can be drawn. The Holocaust was actually based on the theory of evolution (exterminate the inferior so that the stronger, more pure, Aryan race can survive) so it's pretty dangerous to teach that theory and also, the Holocaust had many witnesses to it, including some that are still alive today. It is proven fact. It's dangerous not to teach that it happened because those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

That is a likely possibility, especially if Muslim radicals gain a lot of clout in Europe. For years following the Holocaust, the anti-Semitism in western Europe virtually disappeared but it is back now, partly because so many Muslims have moved in. Mohommed hated Jews because he tried to tell them that he was a prophet sent by their God initially, but he didn't have a clue about their religion so they were very clear in pointing out to him that he wasn't sent by their God. It was embarrassing to him and when he switched religions and became more powerful, he killed a lot of Jews, taking entire Jewish cities who hadn't attacked him, except by verbally questioning his authority as a prophet. Muslims have never liked critical thinkers. The word "Islam" means "submission" and in Muslim nations, even the more liberal ones although to a lesser degree, people of other faiths are forced to submit. Every Muslim nation is a dictatorship. The United States and Israel, purportedly a Christian and a Jewish nation are both democracies. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and that alone, is a good reason to support them. I doubt that Muslims would let the teaching of the Crusades be removed from their curriculum if Christians were offended, so why should Britain accommodate Muslim wishes towards history concerning the Holocaust? Since it happened, it was an important event, albeit a sad one, in the history of the world. It needs to be taught. Future generations need to be warned about mad men like Hitler who appeal to the masses to slaughter innocent people. Hopefully, the Holocaust can be prevented from happening again.

I disagree with their reasoning. History is about learning the facts and not repeating past mistakes. A very little percentage of history deals with personal opinion and biased answers. In a nutshell, history is an unbiased way of learning the past. I do not believe that they should take the Holocaust out of the textbooks because people don't believe in it. In my history text books, they include beliefs of Christ and God, however Atheists do not believe in that! I think it is just the same thing in different context. No, I do not believe that the British School system should take Holocaust out of their History books.

I do not comprehend. Why might MUSLIMS uncover it offensive? It used to be the Jews that suffered and the Germans that did the killing...in which do muslims have compatibility into this whole factor? The simplest factor muslims have towards the Jews is the entire Palestine-Isreal predicament. Furthermore, although the muslims uncover it "offensive", it must now not be banned from historical past books considering that might be changing historical past. The holocaust is an greatly giant instance of the evil the a few international locations and persons can inflict. Just considering one institution of persons (muslims) uncover it offensive doesn't suggest it did not occur. Muslims ought to give up mandating the whole thing. Just considering whatever does not fit up with their ideals or "offends" them in somehow, doesn't suggest it demands to be rid of.

I think accounts of Holocaust should stay in history books, if removed, how can the younger generation know their own history. As for as the Muslims, they need to hear plenty insults from parents. We change our history for them, some one has got to be joking here.

I highly disagree you dont want offend muslims which by the way are as violent a religion as you can ever have read the Quran once you will find out just how violent.
What of the jews? I would find it pretty offensive that you didnt want to talk about my ancestory or the atrocious things that happened to us.
I disagree highly and I think ALL things should be taught equally across the board....Put the responsibility back on the parents....hey what did you learn today? Oh well that is good BUT this is the way we think about this...instead of just banning it altogether....
That is sad especially for Britian they are known for how proper they are its sad to see even they are starting to water down their standards.

Actually you have picked up an Urban Legend that has been doing the rounds for some time. The British school system is NOT removing Holocaust accounts. For further details check out this site..

Yeah, that's disturbing to me, too. My question is, why would anyone want to cater to people who don't believe the Holocaust happened? That's crazy. Are we supposed to remove the KKK from American history books just so racists aren't offended? History should attempt to accurately reflect historical events as they actually happened without bias. If they can't cope with the fact that they irrationally hate Jews, then that's too bad.

It is disturbing, of course. But the Muslims were not the ones responsible for the Holocaust, right? I know they're denying its scope and extent, but it's poor grounds for any country's school system to use. It's so unbelievable, that I have to ask you for a link to the actual piece of news that states it?

I think that is a little ridiculous. Obviously the Holocaust happened, hundreds of thousands of Jews didn't just magically disappear what do the Muslims think happened to them?

That is just bizarre. If the Muslim parents don't like their Muslim children being offended by the Holocaust they should send them to a Muslim school. Or else shut up about it.

I find that disturbing. Political Correctness for the sake of offending a violent religion. I believe the British School system would be afraid that the Muslims would riot or target them for terrorist attacks.
