We can die at anytime. Any surgery, comes with some risk. Although I've known guys that said they felt like they were dying because of the pain they had before surgery, I've never heard of anyone dying from this surgery.Tell Dillon to feel better soon.

Nope, sorry you wont die. My previous boss had hernia surgery. He was an idiot to work for. I am sure he thought he was going to die given that the SOB didnt do what the doctor said after surgery. He was supposed to take 7 days off from work. He only took 1 day off. Hmm. I hope he's still in pain.

Well you can die from almost anything. But a hernia is not removed it is a repair job. He MUST take it easy to recover or the repair can burst open and it will be VERY bad.
Tell your Friend Dillon, get well.

All surgical procedures come with a degree of risk.
He can have a reaction to the anesthesia etc. It is a pretty routine procedure and I would not worry much about it.

You can die during any surgery, but that's a pretty common one, and unless he has some other sort of problem, he should be ok.

Any time you have surgery the chance of dying is high! Anesthesia is a big killer, all it takes is one mistake.
