The burner shows in my bios and in my device manager but does not show in my computer. I've swapped out the IDE cables and I have power but it still does not work. HELP!!!

Chris, I've seen this when the master/slave settings were wrong, and strangely enuf, I've seen it when the burning program was not installed.

if there is a yellow triangle or a red x trough it in device manager you may have to install drivers for it

if there is a jumper setting of CS use that and youll never have to mess with the master/slave setting again
