I'm no expert, but I have had bacterial vaginosis in the past, and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic - I think metronidozole. I would think that because it's "bacterial" vaginosis, you need an antibiotic to cure it, and that homeopathic remedies wouldn't be useful in this case.

As far as I know there is nothing available on the natural front to treat bacterial vaginosis but I would recommend seeing your dr to confirm if this is indeed what you have before trying to self treat if there is something natural to treat bacterial vaginosis.

Usually the only thing that will clear it up is Flagyl (the oral form) or Metrogel (the gel form) which is an antibiotic like the last poster said.

The above 2 posters are correct. Metronidazole in oral form or Metrogel are the gold standards for treatment.

If you don't do anything about it, it may not hurt you in the long run but the smell and transmitting it sexually may not be ideal for your situation.

Remember that although homeopathic/naturopathic may have some remedies that have merit - most are limited to living healthy and practicing good health prevention. Once there is disease or an interuption of good health, evidence based medicine is probably the best thing to follow.
