Alfredsson obviously took a hard slap shot at Scott Neidermayer at the end of the second period. The only penalty was matching penalties for roughing on Fisher and Pahlsson. Is there a little bias when it comes to things like that?

I know Alfredsson isn't a "dirty" player. That is what surprised me. I also know that the Ducks are very physical, but in the playoffs they have been 5 on 3 just 3 times; on the flip side they have had to kill 13 5 on 3's. Just a bit lopsided to me. Me thinks the Ducks "reputation" that they were GOING to be tough was a big factor in the penalties all year long. Its okay though, hopefully, it all paid off anyway. BTW ... the Ducks have more Canadians on their team than do the Sens!!!

Sure, he could have called a unsportsmanlike conduct. But be glad he put his whistle away. Because no they aren't biased. Anaheim is the dirtiest team in the league. They lead the league in penalty minutes all year long. (300 more than Ottawa) and they lead the playoffs in penalty minutes (100 more than Ottawa) They bring out the worst in other teams (probably part of the plan) and teams got the most penalties when playing Anaheim. If you followed them all year you would know that is their style and they are use to it, and you would be use to it. But that is their style and they are winning with their style, so give it a rest.

i think he should have gotten an unsportsmanlike conduct. He deliberately did it and if it had hit niedermayer in the face, there would have been a suspension. Likewise, when neil took a charge at mcdonald, if mcdonald got hit badly and was injured, neil would have also gotten a suspension. That's what is wrong with the NHL. They base suspensions on injuries, not intent to injure.

Of course he should have gotten a penalty. Unsportsmanlike conduct. Just like Emory should have gotten for the dive, where he was outside the paint, but still, somehow, magically drew the goaltender interference call instead. This has been typical throughout the playoffs, but the Ducks have still managed to win most of their games. (that must really PO the refs and whoever is paying them off- but don't blame the refs, they really are trying to win for you)

Water under the bridge. Carlyle and company used it to motivate and do back to the Senators one better. They beat them, again. A ref can call a number of things on the play inquestin including a 10 minute misconduct. He just didn't oh well

Umm... I think that he shouldn't have been called cause if you look closely, while Alfredsson is shooting the puck, he's looking at the clock and he only realized where it was going a split moment afterwards. It would be very confusing, so I think that's why they let it go.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY! The police will come and arrest every member of the Anaheim Ducks so that Ottawa will win the next three games and Gary Bettman (the troll that he is) can give the Cup to the entire country of Canada, all of its residents, and anyone that hates truth, justice, and the American way.

yes he should have got an unsportsmanlike penalty. no question he shot it at him and intent to injure. if i was running the show i would have been talking suspension. that's serious stuff, what if he had hit him in the face? true, the league wants ottawa to win and they'll help them in anyway they can.

Even though it was a display of poor sportsmanship...not really. He didn't do anything like that earlier in the game and in general he doesn't have a history of doing things like that. So he got off with a warning.

There's nothing anyone can do now.

There's no bias.

I think so for the punch , but that puck garbage is more something to settle on the ice.

more than a penalty he should be suspended. but he wont. the NHL is too chicken shít to do it to a canadian team in the stanley cup final. if the sens would have won the game alferdsson would have been suspended already. but justice was served when the ducks won the game. they beat the sens and the refs and now they get a well rested pronger back. like i said justice was served for the ducks, the hockey gods punished the sens, emery for diving and alferdsson for his cheap play.
