"In response to the excesses of 19th-century capitalism and political corruption, a reform movement arose called "progressivism," which gave American politics and thought its special character from approximately 1890 until the American entry into World War I in 1917. The Progressives had diverse objectives. In general, however, they saw themselves as engaged in a democratic crusade against the abuses of urban political bosses and the corrupt "robber barons" of big business. Their goals were greater democracy and social justice, honest government, more effective regulation of business, and a revived commitment to public service. They believed that expanding the scope of government would ensure the progress of U.S. society and the welfare of its citizens. The years 1902 to 1908 marked the era of greatest reform activity."

Economics leading up to and during the 1920s were pretty good. This led the government to adopt a hands-off aspect of governing economics, leaving free enterprise to blossom. Unfortunately, this also led to a crazy amount of spending based on credit. Also, as stock prices rose, people bought stocks based on credit, while the collateral was merely the future price of the stocks. The economy seemed stable but it wasn't at all. During the 30s and The Great Depression, people began to feel that the government was not doing enough for them, the first serious "caretaker" government in the United States since its founding. When Hoover seemed to do nothing for Americans, people elected FDR, who promised to inact a great deal of relief and job programs. This became the New Deal. Ever since, a large amount of people have decided that the government owes people and is responsible for people's well-being for the most part, and this is reflected in how people vote.

i do no longer think of so. before everything--the existance of any dying ray via Tesla has yet to be everyday. Tesla the guy became right into a self-promoter who promised better than he ever introduced. (He did invent the polyphase motor early in his occupation yet that seems to be like his basically remarkable fulfillment.) The Tunguska experience occurred basically in the previous the Russian Revolution and so the positioning became into no longer investigated for years. (the positioning is distant and complicated to get to, on an identical time in the present day) the suited guess is that a meteorite struck. there is theory that a black hollow or a large dense piece of cloth struck yet those are speculations. Tesla had his following of quasi-worshipers who circulated various unfounded rumors.
