yea, I know its supposed to be the answer for the meaning of life according to the movie hitch hikers guide to the galaxy! but what does it mean???
I tried watching the movie... it was so boring, I couldnt sit through it!! so, what does 42 mean??

all the number's in the universe are supposed to cancel down to 42. as for the meaning of life i don't know...hitch hikers guide film cant say as i haven't watched it, but when i was young i used to watch the series that was good as far as i can remember.

That is the whole point. No one knows what the answer '42' means. You have to know the ultimate question before you can understand the answer.
There are certain groups of people who like Hitchhiker's Guide and if you are not in one of those groups then you are just not going to like the movie.

It means nothing.

It wouldn't be boring if you actually watched it or read the book. It's not supposed to mean anything. It's just this thing that is supposed to be slight comedy. The book is much better than the movie, but your choice on which one.
