....for a cat, Everything I learned about men I learned from my dog, Dating mating and manhandling, Every man I love is either married gay or dead, How to train a man, When momma ain't happy ain't nobody happy.
These are just a sampling of the books available to women about men. I tried very hard to find comparably misogynistic books about women, but had little luck.

How would women feel if they saw books with titles like these?:

-Feminists that aren't suitable for dating and how to spot them.

-Yes, all women are crazy (when it comes to communicating with their man).

-The man's guide to PMS.

-Signs and symptoms of a high-maintenance woman.

-Can you afford her?

I think there is plenty of popular misinformation about both men and women floating around our culture. If you want to see some of the other side, just check around here. Just in the past week I saw a person saying men shouldn't get married because there's nothing in it for them that they can't get without being married. More than one person backed him up saying stuff like "yeah, all you get is round the clock nagging" or whatever.

It is a little more acceptable today to badmouth men than women, but the negative stereotypes exist on both sides and I say we could do without all of them.

Nope, sounds to ME like YOU need to write a book!

Yep, it's true, there is much sarcasm out there in print, and it's sad that it has become such a cover for the many women who never understood that Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella were simply FairyTales!!!

An entire generation was raised to that point in the 50's,
then the 60's brought transitional thinking but the old core values and EXPECTATIONS were still there!

I never knew how much I was going to have to KNOW
and how much I was going to have to HANDLE ,
and how huge a person on the inside I was going to be required to BE...until a certain husband of 22 years ... left me.

Me! The love of his life, the Treasure that was HIS !

Communication on all levels is the key to relationships,
and if we don't learn how to do this from our homelife as kids, watching our parents, then when and where are we going to learn how to be the "perfect couple"?

Beats me, in the aftermath, I can see clearly the mistakes we both made, and the ways we could have each improved and made a GO of it all, but that was ....too little, too late.

I am sorry that the world has become so cynical,
but don't be poisoned by it all!
Choose to believe that there are some nice hard working, loving and love-able (even if a little less that perfect in the figure department!) women who LOVE to take SHIRTS to the cleaners....more than the fellas they marry!
May Blessings be yours today and always!

Nice! You confirm modern American males' belief that American women are by and large angry, resentful, controlling, feminist, and hugely entitled.

No wonder the marriage rate is in a steeply downward death spiral. Keep it up!

Guys - you really have to travel more. Get out of this country to find women who are in the least bit sensible!

American women - Good luck! You'll need it.

Yes...it seem as though many "feminists" have turned much of society against men. I wonder if they are working towards equality.

And Chris, the divorce rate hasn't been this low since 1970. Just a little education for you.

You know you have to take it with a grain of salt. I've seen the internet articles. They are humor, pure and simple. Toughen up your skin and let it slide.

I am sorry to hear you are feeling so angry....Perhaps therapy or talking things over with a friend might make you feel better.

Anger is normal and necessary, up to a point. But if you are always angry you will become sick ...or a cynic. And that is incompatible with happiness and peace of mind.
Good luck.

We got the books, but men got the songs. How about all the songs that talk about our body parts like we are meat, call us bitches and whores and gold diggers, and claim that it's cheaper to keep our ***.Stop complaining and write your own book.
