I got this house 2 yrs ago N it came w/ an above ground pool. The last owner of the house throw all kinds of trash and everything the pool The pool has not been open for 7 years. I got all the trash out and skimmed a foamy layer of the algae off the bottom of the pool.
The Water is now very Cloudy and I am still skimming out a clearish/white color algae. I also still got small piece of the green foam algae at the bottom.
I tried 3 different kind of Algae cleaner and Shocked it about 5 times in 2 week. I am not getting any results! Please Help! Please!

Try a floculant as you've got so many chemicals in the water. This will bind them together and you can them vacuum them from the bottom.

you may have to drain out the pool and start over,making sure all of the algea is scrubbed off.
Keep the pool pump working and be sure the filter is clean so the water can circulate properly.

Bst choice: Take water to pool store, they test for free. SOunds like you need to start over with the water.
