Ok, the story says that somewhere in New Orleans is a basement (I know, in a city below sea level) where Oswald had kept some files or something. These files would lead directly to the parties responsible. The CIA had been looking for these files for a long time but could not find them. When the storm came along, they blew up the levees in order to flood New Orleans and destroy this vital evidence. Apparantly, they had this plan ready for decades. They just needed a hurricane to ensure the flooding and to provide a cover story for the levees breaking.

That one has my vote for goofy conspiracy story of the week.

This was part of a large plot to remove the blacks from the area. How this was coordinated amongst the many, many parties involved was not disclosed by Mr. Farrakhan.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan is telling his followers that the levees in New Orleans may have been deliberately "blown up" to kill the city's black population.

The influential preacher was in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Monday, where he detailed his Hurricane Katrina conspiracy theory.

"I heard from a very reliable source who saw a 25 foot deep crater under the levee breach," Farrakhan explained. "It may have been blown up to destroy the black part of town and keep the white part dry."

Farrakhan didn't say who he thought was behind the plot to blow up New Orleans' levees.

The Muslim minister also blasted both FEMA and the Red Cross, saying their response to Katrina victims after the levees were blown up was inadequate.
