Hi, problem is here is it's not a bad spec but who is maxdata.
You could get a similar branded make for the same money as per the link below. It has the same graphics, which is the best that intel make for a laptop as it is the only one that fully supports vista premium. The acer I suggest has better graphics capabilities as it supports up to 224mb instead of 128mb. It has a slightly older processor but it is a branded name.
I would look at the recommended requirements for the game and see if the laptop supports it but bear in mind that laptops were not really designed for gaming and if you want a decent gaming machine then go for a standard pc or look at paying a lot more money for your laptop.
The acer I recommed is my son's machine which he uses for web design and is very fast. Graphics quality is very good but it isn't used for gaming. The second option is a better machine but it's more money. If you buy the 5612 from comet ask them if it will run the game because if they say yes and it doesn't you will be entitled to a full refund

Best thing to have is an independent graphics card and not a integrated.
The rest of the laptop is really good but for games you want to have a seperate card.
Have you looked at play.com? Sometimes they've got good offers or even Dabs.com. They are now owned by BT so you may get a good deal there too.
Keep searching, I just got a new one from Aldi when they had an offer on and the only thing I've done was add another meg of ram for £39 from Crucial. I hope this helps you out.
Take care.

try to make the following change at least:
1. Intel® 82945GM Graphics Media Accelerator 950 -- get a better graphic card. At least 128MB dedicated. Nvidia or ATI...you do not want to have an integrated graphics for gaming.
if you have alot more bugdet,
1. Intel Core Duo T2350 1.86GHz FSB533 -- go for Core 2 Duo and at least 2.0ghz.
2. WLAN Moduel Intel 3945 ABG --- the new Santa Rosa is out, thus able to support 'N', which is faster than "ABG"

This particular notebook will play some games but not others, look up the minimum operating requirements for the games you want to play - and compare them to the specs. The key things for you to look at are the required video card (this computer has a 128bit card), processor speed (1.86ghz), you shouldnt have any problems with memory.
Oh, and because this notebook has an integrated graphics card you wont be able to upgrade the graphics card. so what u buy is what u get.
Hope that helps.

The only games you should consider playing on a laptop are simple things like solitaire or tetris. The resource drain and processing required of most modern games just isn't suitable for a laptops limited graphics and processor cooling. You're likely to fry either the graphics or the processor within a few months if you are playing high demand games for more than an hour a day on a laptop.
If you can't be persuaded, try one of these laptop coolers, and that may help your lappie stay a bit cooler during use.

Not being funny mate but if i was you i wouldnt even consider a laptop for games. I play a lot of games on my pc and would suggest not buying a laptop for games, they are for handy use only, good things being you can carry them around but as for game useage you will never get the same quality you would get from a desktop.

I actually have a gaming computing gadget because of the fact i might desire to spend all day gaming and our mattress room is merely too tiny to greater healthy a respectable sized table in it. I used to have a pc in the spare mattress room yet my boyfriend saved his electric powered guitar there so we've been continually scuffling with for the room. as quickly as I have been given the computing gadget, i might desire to apply any room in the condominium that I enjoyed which meant that he might desire to play his guitar in peace. i regulate between the settee and the eating table.

I'm certainly no expert, but I've always been told that if you mainly want to play games, always try and go for a pc rather than a laptop - you get more power for your money.
