is it just as hard to crack like when you squeeze an egg in the palm of your hand?

Well........i used to be ok with an uncracked skull but i alright now with a cracked one .lol.

It will fracture from a height of 5 feet on concrete. Mine did. bones are constructed in exactly the same way that reinforced concrete is constructed. The steel of reinforced concrete provides the tensile strength, while the cement, sand, and rock provide the compressional strength. However, the compressional strength of bone is greater than that of even the best reinforced concrete, and the tensile strength approaches that of reinforced concrete. But, even with their great compressional and tensile strengths, neither bone nor concrete has a very high level of torsional strength (the strength to endure twisting). In fact, bone fractures often occur as a result of torsional forces that are exerted on an arm or a leg.

Well.. not sure why your asking 'less you wanna crack it open lol
I'm pretty sure it's not THAT strong
But it's protective enough for some accidents e.g. banging your head off the wall

The human skull is very weak compared to the skull of a woodpecker!
Our crash helmets and football helmets were cleverly designed, thanks to a 2 million dollar grant, so we could understand how the woodpecker bored into hardwood, unscathed.

i think i must have the strongest head in the world the amount of abuse it gets, i bang my head a lot, and that, its very hard really, its a large boney plate, think about how hard it is just to snap a chicken wishbone and consider ours is a lot more dense and that the average human head weighs around 5-6 kg, and your brain is around 1 kilo.

must be quite strong cos i got some thick skin covering mine
and folk say my hubby is a hard nut to crack cos he's so thick skinned,

well.. it depends. On age, size...how youre trying to crack it.
Its pretty frickin strong... but not that strong.

you can drop it from 100ft onto the sidewalk and it wont break
