Black leather purses?

Question

I was having a debate with a co-worker of mine about black purses and how they match anything you wear no matter what color. I insisted that black purses are suitable for any wardrobe colors and it does make a good match but my co-worker said that they don't and black meshes badly with colored clothing. I don't think so since it's black and black matches any color. So who's right? Please I need serious fashion answers. Thank you.

i completely agree with you. I probably wear my black purse about 90% of the time year round. with brown, with colors, whatever. I do not think of my purse as a fashion accessory. It is something for me to lug my junk around in.

Though in the fall I usually switch to my brown, tan or red ones, depending on my mood.

TLC what not to wear always shows misc. colored backs with outfits that don't have anything to do with the outfit.

Well, everyone has their own opinion, so there is no right or wrong answer. In my opinion, though, a black purse could match with any combination of clothes.

as someone who lives by fashion rules, i would agree with your co-worker. many people tend to think that black matches everything, but that's not true. black does match most outfits, but let me make this simple: would you wear a black purse with a pink top and shoes with white pants?

Black does match all, with the one exception; brown. Now that exception only applies to true browns because chocolate brown and black look fine together!

i bought a XOXO style handbag at Ross, a small shop that gets their stuff from better branch shops and sells them for a decrease cost. it fairly is a small black handbag with leather-based trim and that i bought it for $10.
