I am really curious, because that's what I have been doing with the program Ares, and I need to know if its against the law or not.

Everyone does it, but yes it is illegal. There's a reason why DVD's are copy protected and at first Videos were copy protected. There are a lot of programs that will break the copy protection, but they are illegal, just as downloading from the internet. Just as with iTunes you can't copy what you download to a disc.

If you buy a Coke for a dollar out of a machine, does that give you the right to go back and 'kick' the machine until it starts giving you free coke? I mean, you DID pay for one so why not get as many as you want, right? NOT!
or
You pay for and install Windows Vista on your computer. So, now I suppose you can use it on as many computers as you want, right? NOT! I'd like to see you get away with that one!

You buy the new Linkin Park cd at Walmart. So now you can go back to Walmart anytime you want to and take all the copies of their new cd home for free. Well, you DID pay for one!
