I have seen a lot of things in life, but this is just horrible. I read a question earlier that said
"How can Democrats support pro-choice, but not like the death sentence?"
She made great points! then i read some answers that pushed me over the edge. How can people sit there and say that its not murder? its just a 'fetus.' That is a poor helpless child living inside of a woman and then they want to just decide to murder her own flesh and blood. Its makes me SICK!
Then people use it as an excuse, what if she was gang banged by several men and raped...SO?!?! did that child have a choice to be born, it was not that innocent childs fault! PERIOD! a woman does not have to murder her child, it is also a part of her as well.
I don't think it should be an option to MURDER an innocent life, at all! They should go through the entire pregnancy and give it up for adoption, instead of shredding the baby by the pieces, just so that 'women' can be at piece.
ABORTION = MURDER!

i am not saying being 'gang-banged' is just an EXCUSE...its a horrible thing, yes! i am very aware of that, but to kill that innocent child over that, is wrong as well...she does not have to keep the baby, let that innocent child live with a family who will raise it to become something better.
2 wrongs doesn't make a right.

On average, women give at least 3 reasons for choosing abortion: 3/4 say that having a baby would interfere with work, school or other responsibilities; about 2/3 say they cannot afford a child; and 1/2 say they do not want to be a single parent or are having problems with their husband or partner.
FACT: Over 93% of all abortions have absolutely NOTHING to do with health risks to the mother, health risks to the baby, rape, or incest rape. Just women deciding that they don't want to be mothers for the above mentioned reasons. MONSTEROUS!
So when you argue that it's your "choice", remember what it is you're defending. The CHOICE to murder and unborn child.

That's a really shallow way to look at abortion.
Im very pro-choice. My opinions are more than emotions for abortion though.
Firstly, if abortions were made illegal, do you know how many woman would go and risk their lives by getting it done illegally?
FACT:
Every year, 40 million induced abortions occur globally (IPAS); and according to the 2000 estimates (WHO), 19 million unsafe abortions take place each year. According to WHO, approximately 68,000 women die annually as a result of complications of unsafe abortion; and between two million and seven million women each year survive unsafe abortion but sustain long-term damage or disease (incomplete abortion, infection (sepsis), haemorrhage, and injury to the internal organs, such as puncturing or tearing of the uterus).(IPAS) According to WHO statistics, one in ten pregnancies ends in an unsafe abortion. The risk rate for unsafe abortion is 1/270; according to other sources, unsafe abortion is responsible for one in eight maternal deaths.
If its kept legal and safe and under medical supervision then the fetus will not suffer and be mangled and what not and the mother wont suffer.
Also, abortion cuts down on un-wanted pregnancys.
If i was raped and it resulted in me pregnant, id feel pretty low about my body already, but to then find out that it was going to gain stretch marks and whatever else having a baby comes with, id be even more low.
What if the mothers life or health is at risk? Is this right to say the mother dies for a child because she couldnt get an abortion? How is this fair if she gets pregnant and doesnt know that is going to happen?
What if the mother dies and the father gets custody and blames the child for the mothers death or poor health? Some fathers take their anger out on the child, how is this fair?
What if the childs health is bad etc?
What if the childs going to have a bad life?
Strict catholics dont believe in abortion. Yet they dont believe in contraception either. Great.
Nice.
Abortion isnt murder.

The answer is simple. If they admit that the child in the womb is a baby then, by linear logic, they must also admit that abortion is murder. This would mean that their #1 sacrament is wrong. Can you imagine any of the pro-abortion people doing that?
Remember, these are the idealogical progeny of those who were for slavery. Just as the 1857 Dred Scott decision held that blacks were only 60% human and, therefore, were not entitled to the rights and protections of citizenship, so too do the "pro-choicers" of today rail against the concept of the unborn child's humanity.
Remember also, that they use some of the same terminology now as they used in the slavery days, even to the point of both groups being called "pro-choice".

Doctors do not classify a fetus (less than 2 months) as alive. In fact, the definition of alive is being able to live with little support. The death penalty is not cruel enough; it is an easy way out. Also, Supreme Court Justices in the Roe v. Wade do not find abortion as murder

To you abortion is murder. In the eyes of the law, it is not. We don't live by your rules, lady. We live in the U.S where women have the freedom and choice over how they control their lives and their bodies. The Government nor you have the power over other people's wombs. Get over it. If you want to end abortion, it will never happen. Get realistic about that fact. If you want to lower the occurence in which it happens get involved in teaching children about their body functions from a very young age and all the way through their high school years. And, when they start puberty, teach them more and then teach them about birth control methods. You either teach them or they teach each other. Which one do you want it to be? But people need to grow up and stop wishing their children to be virginal until they are married and get real about human sexuality and desire. Stop making it more than it is and stop making it so that people have to be ashamed of it. Grow UP already and realize sexuality is part of life and hand out condoms for crying out loud. that's the only way to lower the amount of abortions in this country. Take a realistic approach, not a prudish puritanical approach that right to lifers and right wing christian maniacs want to take which have never worked and never will work.
BTW, the definition of a BABY is a being that is outside the womb. The definition of a fetus is that inside the womb after 8 weeks of gestation. This is medical definitions, not some definition based on some emotional religious tyraid.

I think every one who is against abortion, should sign a piece of paper that says no matter what....you will raise every embryo that would have been aborted.
What about the mom that is on crack, you want to take care of that baby and raise it.
How about the parents who beat and torture their kids, should they not be allowed to have an abortion or would you wish that kind of pain on a child. Don't say it doesn't happen, because my mom tried to have an abortion with me, and trust me being beaten and molested for 15 years was not a joy.
What about the mom who has three other children and the doctor says if she carries this pregnancy to term it will kill her, do the other three go without a mother. And don't say it does not happen, because it did to my grandmother and she had five other children.
I think every one who is against abortion, should sign a piece of paper that says no matter what....you will raise every embryo that would have been aborted.

Why do Republicans want government to disappear- except for the uterus? Who gave this government the right to regulate my family size?
Is it murder to prevent conception? Those are "children who haven't been born."
Is it murder to abort a fertilized egg? Same rationale.
Is it murder to let a child die after it has been fully formed and delivered, through a lack of affordable health care? Yes.
Is it murder to take a fully formed human being and stop his or her heart with drugs, hanging, electricity, or poison gas? Definitely.

I am a rape victim, and, I have to say that you make me sick. How can you have no compassion for your fellow woman? You are a cold, unsympathetic person, and you have no idea what it's like to have ones body invaded against ones will. You care more about what your bible says than what a rape victim experiences.
If abortion becomes illegal, women will find ways to abort anyway, leading to infection and death. Why would you want that?
I hope you never have to go through rape, and I also hope you never occupy any elected office.

Science tells us otherwise- that life does not begin from the moment of conception. Your belief to the contrary is not based in science, but in a spiritual conviction. Which should take precedent when creating a law?

True. The big difference, though, is that when you are enacting the death sentence, you are killing GUILTY people.
When you have an abortion, you are killing an INNOCENT.
Babies can smile, burp, eat, "talk", move, and have feeling (including pain) when they are in the mummy's tummy.
Does this look like a guilty person to you?
