If you want to save more money. You need to take engine apart and take the crank and cylinder to shop for them to rebuild. Cheaper than whole engine to the shop. and Clean up yourself. Yeah the labor is expensive now . about Resleeving. Yamaha don't offer oversize piston kits. only wiseco. WSM. others. It is depends how bad the cylinder walls. If bad. Then you can install sleeve on it. It can cost more than new one. Have to bore out. install sleeve ( If the machine shop made little too large bore and sleeve become loose fit. That means the cylinder will be no good.). ported match to cylinder ( Transfer and exhaust port ). Mill the top of cylinder. Then re-bore to Stock size piston for new piston. Sometime resleeving cost more than new cylinder. but benefits is you can go more than once oversize.
