My spec:
Microsoft Windows XP SP1
Intel pent. III
998MHz
1.00GB of ram

I've noticed that my keyboard and mouse would freeze more often when I play games or watch a movie. I've updated my video card, radeon 8500 series, but the problem would still occure. This is annoying me. Any suggestion or help on how to fix this?

Have you tried the standard spyware/adware sweep? You may have some malicious software running in the background. Do this first.

Secondly, close ALL unnecessary programs running in the background. At only 1 GZ, your computer will only be able to handle so much. You can push CNTRL-ALT-DELETE and find the running tasks there. Some are important...so close them one at a time and see what happens. That's what I used to do before I upgraded to a newer machine.

First Check you connections _ I recommend Using the USB instead of the extra plug it comes with my experience has been kinda bad with the plug! If this fails to show any probs then check you wires.

I doubt its connections but u never know ~ Id really check your Direct 3d (D3d Settings)! which to do so I listed the info at the bottom of the page!

Ok so thats easy right!? still having an Issue?

RAM ~ low on it? Heres how to know!

1. Find and click on the START menu

2. find My computer (right side somewhere/usually)

3. Right Click on My computer and a tab should come up

4. In the TAB find Properties and click Properties

5. it should bring up a general bit of info about ur PClap top including RAm info.

Anything around 250 to 300+ is good !

anything below 250 or so IS TOO low and u should buy a Memory card/stick.

2nd area in case the first will not show Ram/General info.

1. click on Start and find the Control panel

2 . click on Performance and maintenance

3. then click on system

4. in the setup area there should be tabs at the top click advanced and then click on the performance settings for Vis.effects, pros. scheduling, memory usage and memory schedualing.

If this is not the problem try checking Direct 3d settings. sometimes having the Direct 3d(D3d) settings set wrong can casue emulation problems and pases which can make it seem just like one or two things are slow/or quitting.

1 click on start menu

2. click on control panel

3. click on Appearance and themes

4. clcik on display

5. click the tabs at the top to settings

6. find the button that says Advanced near the right corner.

7. check/reset defaults if need be.
