Ugh. To Uncle Al, DDT is still used in fighting malaria in some contexts, but DDT spraying is NOT considered the most effective way to fight malaria anymore. Indoor wall spraying is more expensive and less efficient in most cases than insecticide-treated nets. DDT was never banned for use in malaria-fighting contexts. That is a myth.
