um, they're all cities along the shores of beautiful (though slightly smelly) Lake Erie
they all get lots of snow in the winter

and my dad used to make us sing fifteen miles on the erie canal ALL the way from cleveland well into new york on our summer trips to upstate ny. that's a few hours, fyi. lots of refrains.
