Look on the ram chips, there is usually a description tell what they are, IE, pc100, pc 133, DDR, etc. if they are the same they should work together. Also you can lay them side by side and compare the alignment notches. They must be the same.
PS pc 100 and pc 133 can be used together. The faster of the two pc 133 will automatically clock down to the slower speed.
At any rate, if they they will fit, IE, have the same notch pattern, try them. It won't hurt your machine. If they are not compatable, you will here a beep or series of beeps and your system won't start.

a million. it incredibly is been my journey that SIMMS in RAM could journey. in case you do any extensive artwork as in video enhancing, 3-D animation etc, the computer's motherboard might ought to end assorted cycles to look at each and each economic company to get the RAM contents into BUS, which, in turn, might take assorted processors. 2. I used to artwork at Dell. have faith me, they're ok, they are actually not maintainable to a third era homebrew improve. That RAM interior the Dell device worked simply by fact the engineers prepare device configurations interior the lab with "run-b" broking factors. Examples could be you will possibly get a SoundBlaster Card -- it incredibly is a good PCI upload-on call -- yet Dell made a deal to get a extra much less costly SoundBlaster board with a chipset which could have the main obsure, custom-written driver to tweak the sound and connectivity. you will possibly later discover that the cardboard is valueless in maximum present day change-outs. 3. With mixed SIMMS your computer will fail at boot, or after it receives the OS onboard, based upon which economic company have been given which SIMMS. If the OS a lot there will be no know the different economic company SIMMS showing larger memory.

Hi,
It might work. What are the specifications of each Ram?
Meaning What is the amount of RAM and BUS on it. It might even list PC2700. Also what type of ram Is it SDRAM?
Make sure when you pull out the ram to check for latches. They will need to be pushed down before you remove the Ram chips
Hope that helped yah

Run this test on both computers:
http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/
It will tell you what type of RAM you have in each. If the RAM modules match up, you can swap.
If not, more than likely, you can't.
There are quite a few different options regarding memory...so my guess would be no, you can't.

Its likely it will not work because many motherboard take different size, speeds and latencies of RAM. Then for that ram to work together it is ideal that they are the exact same type for proper functionality.
