I want to make some video segments from " Everquest" and be able to make a short action movie for the next fabled adventurer contest, but I have no clue on how to film my character in game.

Any advice would be appriciated.

I want it to be full motion, not a still shot.

If your display card has a video output you could always record using either a VCR or a digital CamCorder...

There are screen recorder programs but I have not seen one that is free that works well or the free trials place water marks on the image.

I have used "Bulents Screen Recorder 3" as a free trial it was simple to use and worked well. It does put a watermark on the video, but it is only $24.00 to register so you can record videos without the water mark

Mark is closer on the mark since we are talking about video not just a still.

True for either PC or console games requiring video shot, obviously PC video have additional needs a dual head video card using S-Video or Composite possibly another PC. Record it using a capture card (usually refer to a TV tuner card).

I remember being told of a software used to do that but it doesnt work for me. Go to youtube and ask the people who make movies from videogames like maplestory.

Press Print Screen, go into a graphics program, and select Edit>Paste (Ctrl + V).
