Maybe you should try Abraxas Coffeeshop, Jonge Roelensteeg 12-14, Amsterdam. It is in the centre. Also the Rokerij, one near the Amstel and one near the Central Station have good qualifications. But there are more options. Therefor, just surf to the Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory. this gives the opinion of more than one person.

Want to hear more of the rest of Holland? Try (in Dutch) crapforum. They are discussing it. Every town has a favourite I see.

There are great ones in every city. One of my nostalgic favorites is the Rokerij in Amsterdam (the one closest to Centraal Station). It is small but cozy, I go there every time I step of the train in Amsterdam. It's a good starting point for a nice, long, hazy walk through the city.

My favorite one, where I used to go when I lived ther was Rookies. It's a cafe where they sell drinks, but also the weed and hash. And very reasonable priced.

it's not easy to say, almost each town has good and less good coffeeshops. better is to ask in each city where you go the local people.
