English classes have made me incredibly cynical about the education process due to the subjective grades given based upon the interpretation of the text. You're just supposed to find something deep and meaningful in the text, regardless of the author's intent. In most cases, sucking up to the teacher's point of view is the key to success. It turns education into nothing more than the same brown-nosing found everywhere else. On an upbeat note, grammar is useful when learning a foreign language.

I probably wouldve never thought about answering this question a few years ago because I didnt think English was important. But now Ive come to that age where im more expressive, and more opinionated. I love to write blogs and share my thoughts and it comes in handy when I'm in a blogging mood. Im able to express myself through the words I write and how I write them. I try to put my personality and feelings into it so readers will understand where Im coming from or how Im feeling at that moment. Ive learned all that in English & little did I know that Id be using that skill one day.
