What do you guys think? Who is a best seller that just makes you cringe and wonder, "Why?! How?! What the ... ?!"

I am 100% behind you on Stephen King!! Wasn't he supposed to retire? The other one I am growing weary of is Lilian Jackson Braun. Her Cat Who.... series started out well for murder mystery but lost it after the 6th or 7th book. Now when I look at some new one, I think "Who cares?"

Dean Koontz. He writes every frikkin' story with the hope it will get sold as a screenplay....with the build in obligatory Happy ending for the test audience. DVD manuals have more suspense.

i like some of steven ings books, but they all start the same and they can never make a decent movie from his books either....
