Well, I was thinking of reading this book to read '1408,' because the upcoming movie looks so good.

Thing is, I generally dislike Stephen King. Is this book as bad as the Four Past Midnight collection?

On thing to keep in mind about Stephen King...at least in my opinion. He can write a good story but his ending suck. Always have and always will. I did like the story 1408 though. I can't remember any of the other stories in the book cuz it's been so long since I read it.

From USA Today, 3/19/2002:

"...Among the 14 stories collected in Everything's Eventual (Scribner, $28), there are a few so brilliantly creepy that some readers will find their brain dendrites still wigged out long after they have finished the book — always the sign of something weirdly wonderful. And then there are stories that, frankly, qualified as labor to get through."

i liked most of the stories in everythings eventual (in fact, the story titled "Everything's Eventual was, imo, the best story in the book)
