Only smart risks, it there is more to be gained by taking the risk than yes. You can skydive without a parachute and that is a great risk, it is also suicide, but it is a risk the nonetheless...one in which nothing can be gained.
Or you can leave your town in search of a new job, opportunity, and life...that is also a risk, but if the town you choose is one where you could be prosperous that it is well worth it. If you choose a town with little to no inhabitants, and a serious drug problem, well that's just plan stupid, unless they have a 5 star program that catalyst people to intelligence, Star-dom, and or leadership positions...etcetera, etc.
So, it depends on the risk. Jump over the wall that is 5' on your side, but 30' on the other. Stupid!!
Doing the same thing to escape being bitten by a rabid dog, Very intelligent and well worth the risk.
