The Recording Industry Artists of America and the Motion Picture Association of America?
These days they primarily attempt to harass kids and little old ladies for downloading .mp3s from the Internet to make up for lost revenue due to their incredibly bone headed decision to kill the LP and "go digital" in the early 1980's (resulting in almost total loss of control of the distribution channel).

This is what they do. Be careful .
"The RIAA has nailed one of the most prolific file-traders in the U.S., filing a lawsuit against 12-year-old Brianna LaHara.
When not at the playground with her friends, "Biggie Brianna" is trading music files from her home in New York. The little girl received one of the 261 lawsuits filed by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) on Monday, according to the New York Post. She may look like a sweet and innocent child, but the RIAA says it's only going after major copyright violators at the moment."

The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) is the watchdog group that oversees and protects the recording industry's copy rites for individual artists. The MPAA does the same for the motion picture industry.

The RIAA:
The Recording Industry Association of America (or RIAA) is a trade group that represents the recording industry in the United States. Its members consist of a large number of private corporate entities such as record labels and distributors, who create and distribute about 90% of recorded music sold in the US. It is involved in a series of controversial copyright infringement legal actions on behalf of its members.
The MPAA:
The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), originally called the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors Association of America, is a non-profit trade association based in the United States which was formed to advance the interests of movie studios. Its members consist of the "big six" major Hollywood studios: Buena Vista Pictures Distribution (The Walt Disney Company), Sony Pictures, Paramount Pictures (Viacom -- which bought DreamWorks in February 2006), 20th Century Fox (News Corporation), Universal Studios (NBC Universal), and Warner Bros. (Time Warner). The organization produces the well-known voluntary film rating system.

Recording Industry Association of America and Motion Picture Association of America.
They take people to court and regulate all the laws of movies and copyright infringement laws. They are the ones that drool over p2p filesharing cases.
