This morning. But she is only 1 and has a short attention span...likes to turn the pages when I'm in the middle of a sentence...so I had to make-up my own story!

I'm half way through re-reading Robert Anton Wilson's 'The New Inquisition', since you ask. This will be the third time I've read it over the years. It's hugely entertaining and informative demonstrating (among other things) how otherwise intelligent rational people can behave wholly irrationally when confronted with ideas which do not sit right with their own, inevitably blinkered and distorting, world view. We learn a great deal about how we perceive things as we do. There is much food for thought should you enjoy pondering the nature of 'reality'. This book is at times quite startling, humbling even, and funny! The author goes some way to lay bare the processes whereby we come to our fancy smart logical conclusions, and, of course, how they come to their positions of insane drivelling fundamentalist bigotry. I think this and books like it could prove an antidote to many of our, and our worlds, problems. File under 'should be taught in schools'. Just found out it's not so easy to get hold of now though. Wouldn't ya just know it,eh? Cheers for now and all the best!
