Why some guys question some lesbians sexuality?

I'm 24 and single, I moved to B'ham,Al and guys that come up to me question my sexuality when I tell them I'm a lesbian and they say yeah right you don't look gay you too.It is so frustrating they think that this is a phase or something, they just hate to see good looking females that like women.Feel free to email or IM me, open to make new friends.

Because for whatever reason some straight men think they can turn a lesbian straight. Sadly, it is easier for people to accept a lesbian than for them to accept a gay man.

There is a stereotype out there that women who are lesbian, are because they're unattractive and no man would want them.

This OBVIOUSLY isn't the truth.
So when a guy who is narrow-minded (to say the least) sees an attractive woman who identifies as a lesbian, it confuses them. lol. It makes them curious as to WHY, and it makes them doubt whether or not you really are a lesbian or if u u r just pulling a fast one on them. They can't seem to grasp the concept that there are gorgeous women in the world who LOVE EVERYTHING about another woman, mind, body & soul.

I get the whole "you don't look gay" comment all the time and at first it pissed me off cuz im like what EXACTLY is the "gay" look and why dont i have it? But now i just laugh, shrug it off, and snuggle up closer to my gorgeous girlfriend and make em all jealous!! :-)

Guys do that because lesbians are looked down upon more than gay men. Most Guys think all Lesbinas are ugly, manly, and not very attractive. Also, Guys really hate it when a good looking girl is gay so they were probably upset when you yold them. Don't worry about it.

If I had a dime for every time that has happened.

I've been going in the gas station, cat calls start, usually from the greasiest guy out there LOL, I tell them politely that I'm uninterested and that I'm a lesbian. What I get in return is "well, you've never had me" or "you haven't had the right d!ck"......it gets VERY old VERY quick.

Yes, many straight men refuse to believe that women they find attractive are gay. They don't think that hot women can be gay.

Maybe it's because they have a difficult time grasping exactly WHY two girls would rather play with "toys" - and each other - than to enjoy the "real thing"!!!

Personally, it doesn't make any sense to ME, either! But don't get me wrong. I am all in favor of lesbianism. After all, there aren't enough straight men left to go around for the rest of us as it is!!!!!!!!!!

That's interesting....I would think guys would be like "Hey, you're a lesbian, that's great! Can I watch?" :-)

The real reason probably is, they think you are just saying that because you don't find them attractive and their egos are threatened, so they lash out by saying, "Uh-uh. Duh, like no way are you gay." Dumb men. :-)

I think the fact that i didnt need their penis scared them.

it's cause they wanna date you..

it's like teenagers who refuse to acknowledge that their star idol crush has a g/f or is taken or whatever. they just want to see what they see, cause it's what they want.
