well initialy when WNBA started they had three legends who would carry WNBA for the next 10 years they were.... Lisa Leslie, Sheryl Swoopes and Rebecca Lobo... Rebecca never really materialized into the player she was expected to be... while Sheryl and Lisa have had all star careers and full filling their potential. WNBA has still not been able to produce a player like Cynthia Cooper, the WNBA Michael Jordan.. 4 straight Houston titles, 4 straight scoring championships and then retirement.

Any pro athlete who marries a sports writer -- in her case, Steve Rushin, formerly of Sports Illustrated -- is OK in my book. I think she once dated Keith Olbermann of MSNBC.
