Vin Scully is the best baseball commentator alive today. Put Scully with anyone else and it will be outstanding.

The guys you mentioned in the question above are back in very many ways. Joe Buck is simply annoying (and trying way too hard to live up to his father's name...he will NEVER be as good as Jack Buck). Tim McCarver is so arrogant about baseball (and very wrong in some of his commentary). John Miller I cannot stand simply because he is the play-play voice of the San Francisco Giants (and has his lips firmly planted upon Barry Bonds' testicles), and he is extremely biased towards other teams not named the New York Yankees or Boston Red Sox. I have nothing against Joe Morgan, except for the fact that he can be too blind towards the recent steroid scandal. Josh Lewin and Eric Karros both suck royally as well.
The best?
I would love to see Bob Uecker do a World Series, along with Tom Brenneman. Definitely Vin Scully, Harry Kalas, Ernie Harwell, Tom Hamilton, and Hawk Harrelson can do World Series play-by-play any day. Throw in the likes of Rick Monday, Steve Stone, Jeremy Remy, and Steve Blass to do color commentary.

Just NOT Tim McCarver & Joe Morgan. They both know it all and were better than any of the current players, if you don't think so, then just ask them, they would be glad to tell you.

I'm getting tired of Joe Buck. I like Tom Brennaman better than Buck (did the NC football game and Fiesta Bowl). I've always liked Miller and Morgan too.

I am sure there are plenty of great guys. Just stay away from those employed by Fox and ESPN.
How about John Rooney - works radio for St. Louis and
Bob Uecker of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Both have great voices -and add something to a broadcast - humor and insight.

I am not a Cub fan. But, Ron Santo and Harry Caray. I would love the 6th inning of that one!

Bill Walton and a resurrected Harry Caray, would be an awesome duo. Only problem is that you would have a hard time understanding the broadcast. haha

Yes, they are. If you don't believe us, listen to them. Try not to kick in your TV set. . . .
Put on Dave Niehaus and Vin Scully. Those two are great. Not punks like the ones on there now. . . .
