Your three biggest expenses are usually:
1). Room
2). Tickets
3). Dining
and for many people, transportation.
Once you have your room and tickets, that is going to be the majority of what you will spend. If you are on a tight budget you can stay at a value resort onsite, or eve stay offsite if needed. Disney offers packages that can include dining and save you a little money as well. There are many ways to save money on your visit, it just depends where you are willing to cut some corners to save the money.
As far as dining you really can spend as little or as much as you want. If you want to eat at all the best restaurants at Disney, you will obviously spend. Or, you can go to counter-service restaurants to save a little money. For dining, counter service runs about $10 per person, table service is usually at least $20, but most are more (kind of depends on what you want to eat and things like that) If you choose to do the dining plan it costs $10.99 for children 9 and under and $38.99 for adults and kids 10 and up. It is a great plan and save you a lot of money if you would like to enjoy some of the nicer restaurants Disney offers. It includes one table-service, one counter-service and one snack per night stay. Tax and tip is included, and you get a ton of food.
If you still don't want to spend that much money on your dining, you can spend less. But, you need to bring a long some snacks and things to save some money. Bring things like granola, chips, etc. that you can eat in the room and things you can bring along in the parks. If you have a room with a fridge, that will save you money and you can get some cold meat, bread, etc. for lunch or breakfast and even dinner if you want. It just depends what you want. There are many grocery stores near Disney that you can go to, but you will need transportation to them, usually the least expensive way is to get a private transfer that will allow you to run in and get some things. Some people ship food down, but you usually be better off just picking up some things when you are there and there is less hassle. If you go this way you should be able to get your food for the day for less than $50 (for like four people or so). If you want to have a few meals at Disney, you are will spend a little more. If you do some research, you can find a lot of really great counter-service places that will be less expensive than sit down, but not the hamburgers and fries at all the other counter service restaurants. For example, Columbia Harbor House and Wolfgang Puck Express as well as Earl of Sandwich are all pretty inexpensive, but offer you something a little different.
Aside from this, it is just dependent on how much you plan to spend. If you buy a lot of souvenirs, that will cost more, if you don't buy many, it will save you money.
It will depend on how long you go, how many people will be with you, ages, what you have included, etc. For most people $500 to $1000 spending money is usually more than enough. Some people, on the other hand, can spend that in a day.
Hope this helps!

Not really. Food is kind of expensive, but if you're booking a stay, you can get your money's worth by booking a Magic Your Way package with the dining option! There are a few events that cost extra, but all rides / attractions are included in the ticket price, so you would only need money if you plan to buy food/drinks, souveniers / Photo pass pictures.
Depending on your tastes, you can stay in a value, moderate, or deluxe resort. All pretty much have the same benefits - free transportation to the parks, extra magic hours, guest relations services, etc. You also have access to ALL Disney resorts dining / pools / etc no matter which Disney resort you stay at. It is cheaper to stay on site, because you won't have to pay for parking / you save on gas, you can have anything you buy at the parks delivered to your resort so you don't have to carry it around all day, etc.

Yes you have to spend a lot of money other than on the tickets. Well if you want a good hotel stay in The Grand Floridian, The Polynesian, and The Contemporary. Every year we stay at one of those Disney Resorts as I mentioned. We always get a Suite Room. And we spend a lot of money on it. So the answer to your question is yes.If you want a nice room you will most likely spend a lot of money other than on tickets. And you will spend a lot of money on the food in each Theme Park. Or you will spend a lot of money on the food in the Disney Resort you are staying at.

No deffinatly not. Disney is what YOU make of it. Once you get in the parks you dont HAVE to buy anything( except for food, which if u get the dining plan is covered for). All of the hotels are nice, so you can stay anywhere and have fun! Purchasing gifts from the gift shops usually make it more expensive, so limit yourself

Once you get into the park, it really depends on you. If you choose to eat within the park, then you'll stumble upon overpriced foods/drinks. Then it depends if you want souveniors of any kind..depending on your desire will depend on the cost. Most tourist shops in the area offer some type of Disney souveniors, which will be much less expensive than purchasing them within the park.

No, read some tips at www.allearsnet.com or www.mousesavers.com. You can easily spend alot of money, but you don't have to. Buy some t-shirts and stuffed toys off site for 1/3 the price and bring sunscreen.

Not at all. The only thing you have to pay extra for is food and souveniers/gifts. The food is actually pretty good no matter where you get it, and it's not priced that high.
