I played because I wnted to make my father happy. He was a sports nut. My younger brother was the big sports hero. every sport came easy to him. he was always the starting running back or starting forward, or starting pitcher.I saw football as being a human punching bag for the rest of the team to gang up on in practice. I hated it, but I wanted to make my father happy. He went to every single home game of my brothers
but never went to mine. so one day I said hell with it, why should I bother? so I quit the team, told the coach to F. O.
then one home game I am sitting on the bench as a waterboy
and who did I see in the grandstand? My father, the SOB showed up. when I got home I had to tell him that I quit the team. and ya know what? the bastard beat me severely, I mean I bruised and bled. It ws that night that I lost interest in organized sports. and to this day more than 30 years later I dont care about any sports.

Play basketball. Its a lot funner and you're able to do way better than merely spiking the ball. Dont you wanna pass all of us over ill or galvanize others at the same time with your passes? Thats merely my suggestion :)

You know, I wasn't very good at lacrosse... but I loved my team, and they voted me captain two years in a row. So, I would say I played sports to spend time with my friends and stay in shape. Plus it looked great on college applications :P

I guess the school made me and I never thought twice about NOT doing it, as it didn't seem to be an option.

J) Other.
My best friend signed up so I did too, as did she with sports I liked. That's what best friends do for each other...except in grade 8 when we signed up for soccer but we both hated it but did it thinking the other wanted it. lol. thanks to that I have a bad knee. (stupid injury)

I. Because it looked good on my resume. And it worked, too. Looks bad if you don't have a sport, like you are not well rounded.
