my pioneer in my xb is also ready...NOT built in
you need a reciever, a mini conncetor to go into the AUX plug in.on xb...between the seats...by gear shift...and a antenna..then you need to get service.about 12. a month, I think is what we pay...
and you need a power cord to go into you lighter outlet...this is the same place you put your MP3 player in to run it thru the stereo, but you can use our mp3 batteries for power..so dont need the power cord into the lighter..
I do both all the time....
good luck

Well if it is JUST satellite "ready" or "capable" does not mean you can easily activate the service. More than likely you will have to buy and have installed the provider's stereo kit which can run from 100 to 150 dollars. If you do opt to buy the service then look for the combo-kit which will give you all of Sirius' and XM's stations. It'll run about 25 bucks or so a month but it is really worth it!

Yes, my Subaru has the same feature. You need to have a satellite radio installed AND then you have to pay a monthly fee for the subscription to one ot the satellite services.
