I know exactly what you mean! My friend brought black nail polish to school once and she painted my nails for me. When my other friends saw it, they were all like "Are you turning emo or goth!?" I'm just like "Just because i'm wearing black nail polish DOESN'T mean that i'm turning goth!" Sheesh.

When my parents saw it, they were all like "You painted your nails black.." I'm just like "Yeah...so?" and they gave me this weird look.

I love black nail polish. It fits my personality way more than pink does. Okay, so i can be girly, but not THAT girly girly. I love black nail polish and seriously, people need to get a clue that just because you're wearing black clothing/black nail polish...it doesn't mean that you're becoming goth. Stereotypes.

No!! If you wear black nail polish it doesn't mean you're goth at all. I get that all the time too. I wear black nail polish anyway just because it matches with everything, and it stops me from biting my nails. I would just ignore the people that say that to you because they're just saying it to get a reaction out of you.

I'm a non gothic guy and l wear black nail polish sometimes. Most people who notice will probably assume that I am goth but I'm definitely not, I just like the colour.

well i have worn black nail polish before, and i am the total opposite of goth. i think that if people accuse you of being goth just because you wear black nail polish than they need to get a life. its summa....so wear what you want and ignore what they say.

and don't wear pink nail polish if you hate it.......that's stupid. Who cares what other people think?

I wore black nail polish and my parents said it was creepy! Then, one of my friends was all "ewwww". I shrugged it off, though. If you're not goth, you're not goth. All that matters is what you think. Just ignore it or tell people that they should read more fashion magazines. Black nails are IN!

Black nail polish is very much in style right now. It does not mean you are goth simply because of the color of youir nail polish.

if your really that worried about what people think then just tell them that just because you wear black nail polish doesn't mean your goth.
it could mean that you just like the color.

i always wear black nail polish and people think I'm crazy, BUT DO I LET THAT STOP ME, NO I JUST IGNORE THEM.

no,that's not true. One of my friends loves dark colors on her nails because when we are in some club at night people can notice her nails. And that's why she also uses black nail polish(and she is not goth, she is a normal girl) =))

I wear black nail polish as often as I can. For someone with a very fair complextion, it gives a wonderful contrast. The assistant manager where I work, however, says it's all gothy and weird. And I usually reply with "Come on, Deb, have you even READ and issue of Vogue lately?"

No, absolutely not. Black nail polish is very "in" right now. The people who say that must not read Vogue or know anything about fashion.
