A google is NOT the highest number. A google is 111,111 times itself 111,111 times. But the highest number, technically, is uncountable; at least within one lifetime. So really, it's unlimited, as long as you have an imagination. :)

The fastest talker in the world can speak 13 words a second.

Let's say she lives to 120 years old, and stays awake night and day the whole time, counting 13 numbers per second (although I'm sure she couldn't actually count 13 number a second when she is in, say, the billions).

Let's see now....49,196,160,000

That's 49 billion, 196 million, 160 thousand.

Of course, if you mean what is the highest number we have reached, well, it is billions of times beyond this number.

But if you mean actually COUNT, then that would seem to be at the upper limit, even if we assumed they could do this night and day for 120 years.

There is no highest number.
For any number x which you say is the greatest, I can produce a higher number by adding 1 on to it.

Well.. numbers are endless but the average person, I'm guessing, could probably count to a few hundred before they got tired of it or grew bored. I counted to a thousand once, took a LOOOOOONG time, but I eventually got there. So if you really set your mind to it and counted fast, you could probably get pretty far.. but it would take a long time, as I mentioned above.

well, if you started counting one number every second from the moment you were born and lived to be 70, you could get to about 2 billion

There really isn't, hence infinity, but it depends on the person.

You can keep counting 'til you get tired, or a 5yr old may only know how to count up to 10.
