I have both, but wear my contacts more often then my glasses. The contacts are a lot easier because your peripheral vision is a lot better and you are able to wear your sunglasses with them. It's also easier when you go swimming or out in the rain you don't have to worry about getting water drops all over your lenses.
The acrylic nails shouldn't affect the contact since you take the contacts out and put them in with the tip of your finger, just make sure you do it with either the side of your finger so as not to scratch the lense.
If you're new to contacts I would recommend Acuvue 2, they are so comfortable.

I have worn both. From teens to 40s, I liked contacts best. Your vision is much better, since you get peripheral vision, plus you can really use eye makeup. You learn to put them in and take them out easily, although really long nails will prevent you from doing this. I'd prefer pretty eyes to long nails, but this is a personal choice.
After the 40s, I started having problems with the contacts not being as comfortable since my eyes started getting drier. Rather than bother with wearing them for shorter periods or using wetting drops, I went back to glasses. It just didn't matter as much to me anymore, but every so often I still miss the convenience of being able to pop contacts in and having perfect vision all day without cleaning glasses, pushing them back up my nose, etc.. On the positive side for glasses, you can wear them all day while contacts have to be taken out to give your eyes a rest. A pair of glasses will cost less than a year's supply of contacts, but you can find discount suppliers of contacts to bring that cost down almost to the same price..

try contacts. I have acrylic nails and never have trouble. you'll have to practice putting them in and taking them out, but you'll get the hang of it. Try different colored contacts for fun! Can't do that with glasses!

I have glasses and I prefer them because the thought of sticking something on my eye kinda creeps me out.

Get laser surgery...it lasts a lifetime. I wore contact lenses and bifocals for 35 years...legally blind. Had laser surgery in 1997 in Rochester, NY and have 20/20 now and wear no glasses or lenses.

I PREFER CONTACT OVER GLASSES, SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. AS FAR AS YOUR NAILS, YOU'LL LEARN HOW TO MANAGE CAUSE I HAVE FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS AND I HAVE EVER HURT MY EYE.
IF YOU GET CONTACTS. TRY ACUVUE HYDRACLEAR, THE BEST AND SO MOIST AND COMFY! ITS LIKE YOU'RE NOT EVEN WEARING ANY!
