I have a 15 inch, 3 GHZ, 60G hard-drive, Averatec, that still runs decent, which I bought about 4 years ago. But I do want to update to a new version or a new brand if possible. I need some help in disposing my old laptop, any suggestions of where I can go or do to get rid of it, thank you!!!

I know a great web site that recycles and evens gives you a discount on your recycled stuff... www.tigerdirect.com.
they are very informative also. try to recycle everything you dont use anymore, if not with them, do a search for somewhere local... just a thought.
good luck with that.

you could always keep it and use it a slave. Basically use it for storage even though it's only 60gig...still not bad. Depending on the ram in it you could use it to boost oyur new laptop, you could also keep it and use it for parts. If you plan to get rid of it I would remove the hard drive. Especially if you have sensitive info on it. I believe the only way to truly wipe a hard drive is to destroy it. Data recovery has come a looooooong way.

You can still get at least 50-100 bucks for it on Ebay.. They pay shipping too. Better getting something than nothing.
