you could go but most coasters have that sign that says not to ride if pregnant. also, have you had morning sickness or aversion to smells? cuz parks are notorious for hot greasy food smells and if that makes you queasy then you might want to skip it. if not and you just want to enjoy the day - go for it and wear sunscreen.
congrats and good luck!!

Just in case the link doesn't post for you... I copied and pasted what it said. And don't pay attention to the people who are saying "Are you crazy?" etc... because I'm on my 3rd pregnancy... and I have wondered the same things. Some doctors will tell you its okay... and some will recommend against it. Always check with your doctor before listening to anyone else's opinion. He is the educated one! ;)
For many people, summer is the time to go to an amusement park and enjoy the sun while riding roller coasters and other exciting thrill rides. Unfortunately, for women who are pregnant, many of the activities found at amusement parks are not recommended.
What is the concern with amusement park rides during pregnancy?
Disney, Six Flags, Busch Gardens and even your local state fair all pose warning signs not to ride certain rides during pregnancy. Although there are no studies documenting a problem with these types of rides while you are pregnant, there are no studies documenting that they are safe either.
The concern with roller coasters, thrill rides, and virtual rides during pregnancy is associated with the rapid starts and stops, the jarring forces, and the pressures against the body that occur during these types of rides. This rigorous activity creates additional jarring forces within the uterus that may lead to premature separation of the placenta from the wall of the uterus, which is called placental abruption.
The jarring force from even slow automobile accidents has caused placental abruption, miscarriage and other complications for women who are pregnant even when the trauma is not directly to the uterus. Although the jarring force is usually less with amusement park rides, it still warrants precaution.
Although there are women who have been pregnant and ridden the various thrill rides without complication, it is a risk that should be avoided. Amusement parks are good at identifying rides that pose risks to pregnant women .
The safest course of action is to play it safe and avoid the rides that pose a risk; you can always return to the park and enjoy the rides after you deliver your baby.

I don't think that it is a good ideal. You never know what could happen. There is always next year and you can go to six flags then. If you want go with your friends just don't go on the rides like roller coasters. The walking around the park will be good for you. Have fun and good luck with your baby.

Check with your doctor. They say that babies are well-protected, but the g-forces of a roller coaster and the adrenyline surge from the excitement can't be good for you or the baby. Beside, you're still in that first trimester. You'd feel guilty if anything happened, even if it wasn't your fault - don't risk it.

honestly, anytime during pregnancy, carnival rides should be avoided. They jerk you around, and could cause you to miscarry or harm the baby.
When I was pregnant with my son, I was about 10 to 12 weeks pregnant, and my family went on a vacation to a six flags amusment/water park. I was able to wait in the water, but I couldnt go down any of the water slides, or ride any of the rides.

no, this is the most delicate stage, most miscarriages occur during the 1st three months...roller coasters have sudden turns, involve hard twistings, etc, it's not recommended to ride on them while pg...you could do other light stuff at an amusement park, but better safe than sorry. Congratulations on your baby!

no, i wouldn't. It could hurt your baby. So all of the rides that say not for pregnant women are off-limits to you. You could still go and just not ride the roller coasters but it might not be very fun for you.
EDIT: my email is j_cullett@yahoo.com email me if you'd like to chat it would be great to talk to someone due so close to me.

That's almost 3 months. On every ride, I do believe they have a warning on whether or not you should ride it if you are pregnant or not. So I wouldn't ride anything that goes upside down or too fast, but I think some of the rides should be okay.

We went to an amusement park when I was in early pregnancy and I was unsure about what to do also. I ended up choosing not to ride anything because I didn't feel like it was worth the risk.

well I think your babies Dr is a quack, Ask your dr see what he/she says, If they dont say no, then you need a new Dr. becuase you think about all that tossin and turnin your tummy does whe you are on them coasters, and you think to yourself what that baby inside you is doing. It doesnt matter what your friend did, dont take the chance , dont go on the coasters. Just go eat a lot of yummy food and play the games, Those are fun!!
