And then realize ,
That was not in your best interest ?

Who were involved
That you had changed your mind ?

I know that the younger a person is the harder it is to tell others "I've changed my mind", but in YOUR best interest, just tell them and go on with your life. Take it from this old lady, staying with something as to not disappoint others is not a way to happiness. You want to avoid regret as much as possible in life. It is also human nature to change your mind and your right! Have fun with your change and live with an easy mind. L.

Oh yes. I made the mistake of giving a friend a second chance after burning me once before. I was told by several people never to trust her again. However, I felt that she deserved a second chance to prove her friendship to me. I was so wrong. She took me to one of friend's house and they were smoking marijuana. I'm not into that and asked to leave. She didn't want to leave. So I waited around for about thirty minutes and then decided to go to the car. She finally came out. She made a dumb mistake to speed while driving me home. We got stopped by the cops. I was freaking out. I smelt like the crap even though I didn't have any in my system.Luckily the cop let us slide and didn't arrest us for marijuana. I would have been guilty by association. After that episode I never talked to her again. I look back on this and think to myself why in the hell did I ever want to trust her again? I don't know if that answers your question, but I can say I should have listened to the warnings. Unfortunately, for me there was no backing out of this situation. I had no other way home.

Yes, bite the bullet, just say the words like you're reading a script- don't think about it and you're answer will be out there quickly and then if they pursue the matter just keep saying... "i think thats it really", "um, no i think thats it really", "nope nothing more to add", "lets leave it at that". Smile and then escape!

It's better to bow out gracefully than to get someone killed from a mistake in judgement!

Learning to say no to others is never easy, but absolutely necessary. If these are your friends, you should be able to tell them and they will understand. Tell them thanks for asking you, but you aren;t going to be able to go. You have to listen to yourself and never do anything you aren;t comfortable with. True friends will understand.

there's nothing to tell, you just deal with it. if you can't than you shouldn't have gotten yourself into it in the first place.
