What is wrong with him? My husband built a picnic table from scratch (cut all the wood etc) on the weekend, with no plans or anything in 2 1/2 hours.

Well, I know most men don't read instructions, you may want to go out and see what is going on and see if you can find the directions first and make heads or tails of it...and start reading them aloud from the point it looks like he's at? If he starts yelling, retreat.

Tell him that no matter what he does he cannot read the directions if there are any. Reading directions is a sure sign of weakness and will definately cause loss of cool points, pre-mature balding and impotence. Real men don't need no stinking directions

I'm sure he has a little diagram, with all the screws and whatnot. STUDY it, try to stay calm...and if he is using wood glue from an assembly kit, they never give you enough.

I feel his pain, GET OUT AND HELP HIM. Oh you might get a plank over the head.

Here is my advice. Go inside, watch TV, drink some iced tea and let you clean up his mess. Men cannot follow instructions unless there are pictures of naked women involved

If it were my husband, I'd hand him out a cold beer or a Coke, say not a word, and go back inside. He'll handle it. Eventually.

Go out and do it for him...then check the color of the air.

Tell him to be very careful not to hurt himself in case he ends up at your hospital. Yeah, saw your last question. You scare me!

I would suggest you keep the drinks coming and be supportive.
