The only time you can drive your car without an MOT is to the testing station and then only if you actually have a test booked.

Do not drive your car. There are thousands of testing stations in this country, you could get a test at another testing station over the next 2 days.

Crackertyjack - The MOT system is now completely computerised. The police can now tell whether you have an MOT now or not as can the DVLA. How do you think it is now possible to tax your car online???!!!!!

If you crash your car and need to put an insurance claim through the insurance company will do everything possible to try not to have to pay out. If they get wind that there is no MOT, then no insurance. Nice for the poor innocent person who gets crashed into.

It is much harder to get an appointment now since the new computer system came in as the computer will only allow a certain number of bookings to be booked in per day in proper allocated slots. No such thing as a quickie MOT now!!

Yes, the DVLA don't like it but even if there is only a couple of days left to run on your MOT it is still acceptable. It's also worth knowing that you do not need an MOT certificate to take your car for an MOT test or repairs for MOT. It may however affect your insurance - you will only have third-party insurance if you have an accident on the way to, or back from, an MOT testing center.

You can only drive it once during that period and that is to the MOT test centre. Otherwise you will be breaking the law and can also invalidate your insurance.

Of course you can still drive but don't get caught. Just keep looking in your rearview mirror!! Police cars now have access to MOT records stored on the DVLA computer.

You can drive the car ONLY to a pre-booked test.
Your local council garages will have an MOT testing facility with plenty of vacancies in the next day or two.
Also because they do not repair vehicles for the public they give a fairer test as they are not out to make any money out of you

You shouldn't drive your car, but if you have still got tax on your car then you can do at your own risk of course.
You see police will not know that your mot as expired, but they would know ,if you had no tax ( you need your mot certificate in order to tax your car ) it comes up on the dvla data base that you haven't. So as long as you have tax then there is no reason for the police to suspect you have no mot.

No chance. And you can't leave it parked on the public highway, so you'd better make sure it's on a drive or in a garage. There are plenty of garages that will MOT test your car earlier than 4th July regardless of where you live

I'm afraid that you can't. However, you ARE permitted to drive the car directly to and from an MOT station for a PRE-BOOKED MOT test.

NO!!!! If you are caught the police can have your car crushed if they find any dangerous faults too. It isn't worth the risk.

There is absolutely no excuse for you not being able to get the car to an MOT as you can get them done up to 1 month in advance!!!!

Straight answer is no.
It is illegal to drive your car without an mot.
You would need to try and book an earlier mot with a different company.
