I guess I am alone, but, YES, I do feel very sorry for Paris Hilton and the entire Hilton family. She is accustomed to a much better life and is certainly experiencing more of an adjustment than the average person. Her cell is probably much smaller than any closet she has ever had. The average person can go to jail and just be ashamed, hating life in private. The picture of Paris Hilton in shambles has been posted all over the Internet and other media. It is bad enough when a group of people know about your bad times, but imagine if the world were watching as you were in your darkest time. It is apparent that her sentence has been far worse than the average person's and that is probably because she does lead a life that virtually everyone is envious of. The judge's handwriting alone should be enough to allow anyone to see his bias (or does he always have a problem staying in the lines and writing legibly). I am sure that I will receive emails about this, but why would you really want to see anyone in the situation that Paris Hilton is in? I though compassion was an instinctual aspect of human nature.
FYI: No, I am not another socialite living it up. I am a 27 year old single mother who works non-stop to make ends meet.

No!

Shes an annoying ***** who deserves to go to jail! And also her jail sentence is not even a month. I really hate how stars get special treatment. I mean putting her in her own area is a good idea because who doesn't want to beat up Paris Hilton. What i don't like about it is that they don't have to wear the jail suits or eat the same food as the rest of the inn mates. Also most people go to jail for a lot longer for a DUI and i just think its not right!

Why feel sorry for Paris Hilton? Going to jail is probably a publicity stunt knowing her anyway. All she seems to do is want popularity, and if not her the media. Anyway, she'll probably be treated well even in jail, because it's PARIS HILTON and she's rich and could sue and probably pay everyone off enough. So seriously, no I don't feel sorry at all for Paris Hilton, because she is getting what she deserves for being stupid.

Well... no. I mean she does deserve this; its not like the court is going to make a special exception for "Paris Hilton!" She's got to come down to earth. Though I don't think that's ever going to be possible with her. But in away I am a little sorry for her. She has no one who can stop her, say no to her, prevent this kind of thing ever happening again. I guess I'm 50/50 on this.
:)

I agree...whether or not Paris deserves to go to jail is kind of beside the issue for me. I think it's upsetting to see someone in so much emotional pain, and I think it's even more upsetting that so many people feel so much visceral emotion and anger towards her. I wish more people were compassionate enough to reflect on how they would feel if someone they loved were being put in jail, even if rightfully so. I feel desperately sorry for their whole family; the one luxury they will never enjoy is privacy to deal with an upsetting family situation (which is a luxury the rest of us probably take for granted).

Its unfortunate that she is goin to jail. But when do people start takin responsibility for their actions and become accountable for their actions. I mean she even said it herself that it was a wakeup call for her and she's been analyzing her life and her decisions now. I think it was the best thing that coulda happened to her maybe she can grow from it. Celebrities need to know they are not invicible. Would u feel sorry if that was Shaquita from the hood? Im guessin...Heck NO! What makes Paris more deserving of pity...because she's filthy rich?

I do, but then again I don't. The only reason I feel sorry for her is the fact that they are putting it so much in public, and it is not fair for anyone's incarceration to be publicized. On the other hand maybe this will teach her a lesson, that whether or not she is a celebrity, she needs to be a law obiding citizen like the rest of us. This is a good kick in the a$$ for her.

I feel sorry for her like I feel sorry for anyone that gets in trouble for DUI. She was pulled over three seperate occasions for DUI and only got a slap on the wrist, she needs to learn somehow. She deserves it, infact, she should be with all the inmates instead of a special cell. What makes her so special anyway? Seriously, what talent does she have that makes her different from anyone else? (Having lots of money it's a talent)

I wouldn't say I feel sorry for her, It's unfortunate
that in her life she hasn't had the opportunity to learn self responsibly like most people. Pay a house and car payment, work for what you get.
She has no work ethic and probably low self worth.
Rather than run her down because she's rich with money, she is poor in the ways of life.

No I don't I'm sorry she has the problems she has.Hopefully this will get her in a program that will help her so she doesn't continue to act this way for the rest of her life. She doesn't need special treatment thought through this process that is a part of what got her into this situation in the first place.
