Dress was really expensive so i dont want to ruin it , but if i have to, to get it to stay up i will.
should i use just regular double sided tape or should i buy special kind for clothes?

Hollywood tape does not work. Not for a heavy formal gown anyways.....
just plastic sticky tape

you might want to buy a different type just to be safe. i know they sell it at victoria's secret and bed bath and beyond. it's called hollywood tape

You can buy double-sided sticky tape designed especially for garments. It's a lot more likely to work and not ruin the dress.

you should buy a special kind for clothes... using normal double sided tape may not work+if did i might get stuck and the dress could be ruin.

You can get tape for such a use which is a lot better to stick on to your skin whereas something like duct tape could aggravate your skin. Be sure the material of the bra causes friction against the dress otherwise it'll only slip!
