When my computer is powered on or if it is rebooted, when it gets to the system check (black screen) It halts and tells me that the chassis has been opened before last reboot. It tells me to hit any key to continue or hit F1 to enter setup. I hit any key and it boots up as normal, if I hit F1 it ask me to enter the password.

1. How can I stop the error from stopping the computer from booting? If I am not in the room the computer will sit at the plack screen until a key is pressed.

2. Pressing F1 - I entered my password (Administator password) and it locks up until I reboot. Then the cycle repeats. Can I chand the password. Why is the pass word not the admin's pass word. Please help.

These are just small, but they are annoying.

Thanks

The Password is is prompting you for is the BIOS password. That password will be different than your admin password - that's why it's locking up. As far as your chassis error, make sure the case of the computer is completely closed and secure. This error should relieve itself, it's just an alert letting you know that your PC has been opened and a change to your internal configuration may have been made. You could enter your bios and turn off the open case warning, however it seems as if it is password protected and you do not know the password. I could tell you how to clear the password, but It's a bit risky for you to be doing that with vague directions like those I'd be able to give you through this medium.

Go into the BIOS and turn off "Case Open" warning.
