If you are charting your basal body temps then you will know that you have ovulated by the temp shift. If not, then you will have to wait for your dr to do some sort of monitoring--bloodwork, ultrasound. If your period comes about 2 weeks after you think you ouvlated then that's a pretty good indicator that you ovulated. You can also check your cervix and cervical mucus to see if it corresponds with ovulation.

The only way I know that you can tell that it's possibly working is too have a progesterone test done on CD 21. If the level is above 15 then it's indicating that ovulation has occured. Unfortunately though Clomid doesn't work for everyone. I took it for 3 months and discovered that I did not ovulate with it. Also make sure you drink lots of water because Clomid tends to dry up cervical mucous and makes it hostile to sperm. You can also take Robitussin (with no letters behind it) 2 tsp. 3 times a day from the day following Clomid until the day of expected ovulation. If the Clomid doesn't work alone they may add Metformin to the mix. HOpe this helped. Good Luck ttc. I know the pain of it, have been trying for #1 for 19 years!

The Clomid helps your ovaries produce (more) eggs. The only way to tell for sure is to get an ultrasound. Go have sex, have fun. Good luck.
