I don't want to waste so much of my time studying for the technician exam while my goal is getting into pharmacy school. I just though that the certification is a "bonus" in my Rx school application... It is worth the time?

You don't need to take an exam to be a pharm tech. All you need is to fill out the form. Only Texas requires you to take the pharm tech certification exam.
Now a days, it won't hurt, but it won't exactly help because most coming in have that experience.
