Guys understand the hiearchy and do not need to challenge it.
Bill drives, Sam gets the beer, Doug gets the chips and Alan pays for it all up front and we pay him back later.

That's a generalization, and I don't believe it's true. I always get along well with my girl friends. None of us are petty or catty with each other.

Guys don't always get along, but in general... men tend to unconsciously find their way into a "pack". Whenever there is more than one male, there is usually - but not always - a subconscious acknowledgement of who is the alpha male and who follows the alpha male. If not, generally the two do not get along. In general, I think men want to be part of the pack, more than they want to be the alpha male - either that, or they leave the pack and form their own pack as the alpha male - or just play the part of the lone wolf, where they are their own alpha male.
Women do not generally share that sentiment. While some women do like to be followers in the pack, I think most women prefer to be the alpha female and instead of physically challenging the current alpha female - like some guys will do - or leaving the pack, they will quietly undermine the alpha female to gain status in the pack.
Sounds like zoology 101... but watch the drama at any club where there are groups of guys or girls and you'll see it.

Guys, I have noticed don't do subtle very well. When they are angry - they let their buds know - and if they're angry at their buds, they fight and get over it.
Girls - on the other hand - are vicious and don't forget anything (the guys know what I am talking about) and they will make you pay for any infraction, esp. if it involves a guy - whether the guy is theirs or not. It probably gets down to something primal - females find males they are attracted to that theoretically will provide for a family, so when they lay eyes on the prize so to speak - they are looking out for what is best for the offspring they might have. Thus they get competitive. That's about the only time girls get weird like that with each other.
Which is why most of my friends are dudes. Easier to understand and deal with.

Guys just don't compete with each other as much as women do. Girls end up scurtinizing everything about other women. We are perfectionists. That's why it takes a lot of us at least a half and hour to get ready, if not more. It means we pay close attention to detail and look amazing, but it also means we compare ourselves to other women and other women to each other. Guys don't think like that. They don't care about that stuff as much, thankfully. Most of my friends, and the people I feel the most comfortable around, are guys. Women can be too much drama for me, sometimes.

cause a fat guy can score on a beautiful woman and the worst he will get is "Man I wish I tapped that" which is shrugged off or laughed at without offending either party.
If a woman said that to her woman friend, CAT FIGHT!
Also guys can be body builders to belly builders with no thoughts about it. The only thing they are usually jealous about is how nice the others vehicle is compared to theirs.
Girls are about appearance: If one looks better than the other that day and their hair didn't color, perm, wave, crimp, pony tail just right, its a bad bad day with daggers for everyone. One comment about a zit, blemish, or stain somewhere will cause major judgment.
(This is not all girls or guys, there are exceptions to people/groups, but this is just a general stereotypical, media saturated, feedback statement.)

Girls are more emotionally based and we work off feelings. When in the presence of another female we either feel compatiblitiy or competition or both. In any event, cattiness eventually comes into play and those feelings are taken out on one another. Guys don't have these issues. Lucky them.

The reality is that despite feminism's total "brainwash' of our society over the past 40 years, God made what He made.
Women are more acutely designed for the home.
They are there to support their men, including their fathers, and, of course, their husbands in the proper marital role.
They are the most secure of nurturers, and are perfect for guiding and warming their children and the whole household.
When women become public, they tend to make their comparisons and compete in areas such as how they look and how popular they are or 'acceptable'.
They often tend to compete for the attention and response of certain guys.
This becomes their 'battlefield'.
Guys compete on the football field [and they certainly fight there], in politics [and they certainly fight there], and in business [and there are a lot of dirty tricks thrown about there].
But the key is: God made them to be the chief providers.
As we do not understand the 'Law of Abundance', they faithlessly think they have to compete for 'the prize'.

I don't think this is true if everyone, but I think for the most part, women are taught to see other women as rivals. Men do not receive these messages. Their message is "stick together." I went to an all-girls high school and I was shocked when I got to college to see the way that the women treated one another. In my high school, a girl who slept with another girls boyfriend was shunned by everyone and the girl who was injured was supported. Now, they have songs encouraging girls to "steal" each other's boyfriends...or to diss a guy's girlfriend and say "you should be with me"...Unthinkable to me.

Have you ever really known a female that was NOT evil toward another especially if the other is as pretty or more so. Females are so deep in thought about what the other female is thinking and over anylyzing every word that comes out of the others mouth that they become resentful and even hateful toward each other.
Guys are simple: WE generally just don't care. When women say men are idiots, they are right. Be happy about it.
Remember, Ignorance is bliss!
